Radical Concept

Are you pushing the boundaries of the world that we are currently living in and designing the world we want to create? Are you imagining the design of spaces, or even the design of interactions, experiences, processes, and strategies?

Radical Concept is an opportunity to share a project in the early phase of the design process, in which the broad outlines of form and/or function are articulated or envisioned.

    • Submissions must be truly innovative and offer the hospitality industry something that is not widely available.

    • We encourage designs to include innovations in health and wellness, sustainability, and technology, as well as hotel operations and/or operations.

    • Must include guestroom(s)

    • Optional to include public area, lobby, F&B, additional amenities.

    • Multiple entries by a single entrant/company are permitted (maximum limit 3 submissions)

    • If your entry makes it to the finalists or the Special Judges Award, must be able to provide a notarized disclosure form and certification of project originality and authenticity.

    • Concept narrative and concept renderings. To be entered in a PDF less than 100MB.

    • PDF must have no names of entrants/company associated. The jury review will be a blind process.

    • Entry Fee for Professionals $ 250.00

    • Fee waived for students

Radical Real

Is your project a real-world proposal looking for a development partnership, project site or funding opportunity? Do you have a business pitch looking to become a plan, or a business plan ready to present to investors?

Radical Real is an opportunity to share a project ready for potential partners and equity.

    • Submissions must be truly innovative and offer the hospitality industry something that is not widely available.

    • We encourage designs to include innovations in health and wellness, sustainability, and technology, as well as hotel operations and/or operations.

    • Must include guestroom(s)

    • Optional to include public area, lobby, F&B, additional amenities.

    • Multiple entries by a single entrant/company are permitted (maximum limit 3 submissions)

    • If your entry makes it to the finalists or the Special Judges Award, must be able to provide a notarized disclosure form and certification of project originality and authenticity.

    • Must submit a business plan and/or pitch presentation.

    • Must include plans, 3D images and/or renderings to explain your project. To be entered in a PDF less than 100MB.

    • PDF must have no names of entrants or companies associated. The jury review will be a blind process.

Radical Product Concept

Radical Product Concept is an opportunity to share your idea for a product in the early conceptual phase of the design process, in which various aspects of the design are considered, such as user experience, usability, styling, technology. This may also include concepts that are currently not feasible due to current manufacturing or technological limitations.

    • Submissions must be truly innovative and offer the hospitality industry something that is not widely available.

    • Concepts may be applicable to any aspect of the hospitality industry.

    • Multiple entries by a single entrant/company are permitted (maximum limit 3 submissions).

    • If your entry makes it to the finalists or the Special Judges Award, must be able to provide a notarized disclosure form and certification of project originality and authenticity.

Radical Product Prototype

Radical Product Prototype is an opportunity to share your proposal for a product with a functional prototype, either ready for manufacturing or for market distribution with various aspects of the design considered, such as user experience, usability, styling, technology.

    • Submissions must be truly innovative and offer the hospitality industry something that is not widely available.

    • Concepts may be applicable to any aspect of the hospitality industry.

    • Multiple entries by a single entrant/company are permitted (maximum limit 3 submissions).

    • If your entry makes it to the finalists or the Special Judges Award, must be able to provide a notarized disclosure form and certification of project originality and authenticity.

    • Concept narrative and concept renderings/photos. To be entered in a PDF less than 100MB.

    • Must submit a video of your project prototype, showcasing how it will be used.
